TOLEDO, Ohio - The Toledo-Lucas County Health Department has confirmed a case of hepatitis A in an employee at a Sylvania ALDI.
The TLCHD says they were notified Thursday of the case of the employee who works at ALDI located at 5539 Monroe St in Sylvania. Any patrons who may have purchased unwrapped fresh produce between the dates of April 26, 2018 through May 13, 2018 may have a slight risk of getting Hepatitis A. All other store patrons are considered at low risk.
The Health Department says they working closely with ALDI to eliminate any additional risk of exposure through a deep facility cleaning and offering Hepatitis A vaccinations to their employees.
