Two Catholic Festivals Ending Summer Runs

(Toledo, OH) Toledo's fair and festival season is getting much shorter.

St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Church is canceling its annual late June festival. In a Facebook post on the Catholic church's site, organizers decided the time required from volunteers and the amount of money made no longer warrant continuing the long-time parish festival.

At the same time, Our Lady of Perpetual Help is making the 100th church anniversary edition of its parish festival its last one this summer. The OLPH festival is the first weekend in June and will feature Centennial Saturday on June second.

As part of a century in the community, the parish is inviting the Toledo Zoo, Imagination Station, the Toledo Symphony, and various Toledo-based bands, mascots, and restaurants to have a presence at its final festival.
