(Columbus, OH) A makeshift memorial to a murdered former Anthony Wayne student is no longer on display.
Officials at Scioto Grove Metro Park took down the display this past weekend at the site where the body of 21-year old Reagan Tokes was found dead last year. The former AW tennis player was kidnapped and robbed, raped and killed just weeks shy of her graduation from Ohio State University.
Park officials say the rock garden was dismantled as they discuss plans for a permanent memorial with Tokes' family. Candles, pictures and other permanent items can be picked up at the Scioto Grove Metro Park office.
Her killer was convicted a few weeks ago and will spend the rest of his life in prison. Her death led to tougher sentencing laws passed by the Ohio legislature.
