UT, BGSU, Others Hold Graduation This Weekend

(Toledo, OH) The University of Toledo will award degrees tomorrow to nearly 3.100 seniors at the Glass Bowl. 

Former Rocket quarterback Chuck Ealey will speak and receive an honorary degree during the undergraduate ceremony at 10 a.m. About 1,000 graduate students will attend a commencement ceremony Saturday at 3 p.m.

Bowling Green State University will hold graduation ceremonies this weekend. There are three commencement ceremonies, all to be held at the Stroh Center starting tonight at 7 p.m. for graduate students. The other tassel-turning times are Saturday, with speeches by Falcon alumni who went on to distinguished careers in business, writing, and academia.

The University of Findlay will hold commencement exercises tomorrow morning for 750 students receiving their diplomas. A clinical neurologist will address graduate students, while undergraduates will hear from Grammy Award nominated musician Phil Reno. Graduation ceremonies begin at 8 a.m. Saturday at the Koehler Fitness and Recreation Complex.

Owens Community College educators will hand diplomas tonight to more than 600 graduates. Toledo City councilman and Owens alumnus Nick Komives will be the keynote speaker. The graduation ceremony starts at 6:30 p.m. at the Student Health and Activities Center.
