(Sylvania, OH) The Tree City Film Festival offers an opportunity for student film-makers to show off their stories this weekend.
The Tree City Film Festival will feature so-called Shorties, films students in kindergarten through 12th grad created using the digital devices they use every day.
There also was a 50-Hour Challenge earlier this year, where teams of filmmakers were encouraged to write, shoot, edit, and publish their own short films in just 50 hours over one weekend. The weekend-long film festival also will include screenings of the Oscar nominated shorts films - both animated and live action.
Most of the screenings will occur at Olander Park’s Nederhouser Community Hall, while the shorties will be shown at Northview High School’s Performing Arts Center.
A complete schedule of this weekend's screenings can be found at sylvania.arts.dot.org.
