(Toledo, OH) Passenger air traffic is up by more than 40 percent at Toledo Express airport, the best it's been in over a decade.
The number of people boarding or deplaning American Eagle flights last month at the airport more than doubled over the same period last year to more than 12,000 passengers. That's the main factor for so many more people flying in and out of Toledo Express airport than in March 2016.
The number of people getting on and off Allegiant Air flights also went up ten percent year over year, to nearly 15,500.
Those planes are nearly full every time they take off and land, too-- the passenger load averaged between 80 and 90 percent for Allegiant and American Eagle. Total passenger traffic in March topped 27,000.
