(Wauseon, OH) Convicted killer James Worley will return to court today for his formal sentencing.
A Fulton County judge will decide to either follow a jury's recommendation of the death penalty or sentence Worley to life in prison.
Defense lawyers filed one final motion trying to spare Worley's life, citing his numerous mental disorders and the cost of him spending years on Ohio's death row.
Worley was convicted earlier this month of kidnapping and killing Sierah Joughin in 2016. Worley buried the former Evergreen HS and University of Toledo student in a cornfield near a barn on his property.
