Justice Reform Lecture Tonight at UT

(Toledo, OH) A national leader in justice reform will speak tonight at the University of Toledo. 

Dr. Laurie Garduque is the director of justice reform with the MacArthur Foundation, the national group that's given a multi-year grant totaling nearly two million dollars to help local officials to reduce the number of inmates at the antiquated Lucas County lock-up. 

The data-driven reforms are almost now fully in place. 

Following her free lecture at 6 p.m. at U-T's Doermann Theatre, the will be a panel discussion among local elected leaders, including Toledo Mayor Wade Kapszukiewicz, county commissioner Carol Contrada and Judge Gene Zmuda. There will be a reception following the lecture and panel discussion.
