TOLEDO, Ohio - The four teens charged in the death of a man on I-75 will be sent to a youth treatment facility.
WTOL 11 reports the four teens were charged with throwing a sandbag off an I-75 overpass and ultimately killing Marquise Byrd of Warren, Michigan. They were sentenced Friday to take part in an intensive program at the Lucas County youth treatment facility. Their parents are also expected to be heavily involved in the program.
If they successfully complete the program, the teens could return home in months. If they don't complete the program, they will be sent to juvenile prison for a 3-year sentence.
