ODOT Kicks off Road Construction Season in NW Ohio

(Toledo, OH) ODOT will officially kick off the orange barrel season later today.

A widening and reconstruction project along I-75 in Findlay will serve as the backdrop today as ODOT director Jerry Wray explains the details of nearly 1,000 highway projects statewide that total 5,600 miles of pavement, more than 1,000 bridges, and $2.35 billion statewide. 

Major projects for the summer construction season include continued widening of I-75 in Toledo and Findlay, reconstruction of the Waterville bridge over the Maumee River, a major repairs to the route 2 bridge at state route 269 and a bridge on state route 163, both near Port Clinton. 

A media briefing will cover both ODOT districts one and two, which involves every county in Northwest Ohio.
