SWANTON, Ohio - A jury has recommended that James Worley be put to death for the murder of Sierah Joughin.
WTOL 11 reports the jury heard closing arguments Wednesday morning, then deliberated for nearly six hours before coming to their recommendation. They were presented with several options for their sentencing recommendation, including life in prison without parole and life with a chance of parole after 30 years.
Judge Jeffery Robinson will now decide whether to follow the jury's recommendation or hand down a different punishment for Worley. Judge Robinson has scheduled the sentencing for April 18.
