(Akron, OH) Candidates for Ohio governor will sit down for some in-depth interviews this week.
The series of interviews with Ohio's six major candidates for governor will be live-streamed starting today and run through April 11th, the day after early voting begins.
The University of Akron's political institute says the in-depth interviews are designed to give citizens information they can use ahead of the May primary. Those interviews will be conducted by a retired Cleveland TV news political reporter and will involve four Democrats and two Republicans.
The interviewer says his work will go beyond typical ten-second sound bites or the food fight of a debate.Tthe interviews will be live-streamed and archived on the university's YouTube channel and the Institute's Facebook page.
