(Cleveland, OH) Cleveland Indians fans continue to have a positive view of Chief Wahoo.
A Baldwin Wallace University survey found a majority of northeast Ohio residents are proud of the team's longtime mascot and believe it represents the city as much as the ballclub.
The Indians announced plans over the winter to drop Chief Wahoo from on-field use next year. The team continues to sell clothing and merchandise with the iconic logo.
Meantime, the Tribe opens the 2018 season tonight on the road against the Seattle Mariners.
