(Adrian, MI) A former Washington Local School Board member made another court appearance and gained some freedom.
54-year old Patrick Hickey was back in a Lenawee County courtroom Wednesday, where a judge altered terms of his bond. The judge changed the restriction on the former WLS school board member to allow him to have contact with kids under the age of 16, as long as there is proper adult supervision.
Hickey is charged with sexual misconduct dating back to his days as a teacher and coach in the Addison school district for having sex with a then-14-year old girl. Hickey resigned from the board of education after being charged.
Hickey resigned as Washington Local's school superintendent in 2015 after a number of ongoing controversies. He’s due back in court April 13th.
