Ex-Buckeyes Quarterback Is Honorary Deputy

(Port Clinton, OH) A former Ohio State quarterback known for long bombs is now the long arm of the law.

NFL signal-caller and ex-Buckeye Cardale Jones is being fitted for a sheriff's deputy uniform, named an honorary Ottawa County deputy last summer.

According to the sheriff, his new buddy will serve as a special ambassador to help the sheriff's office better bond with young people. In fact, Jones spoke at a father-son church banquet last Friday.

The sheriff says when the L.A Chargers quarterback shows up in a deputy's uniform, kids will realize cops aren't necessarily bad.
