Death Penalty Phase Begins in Golsby Trial

(Columbus, OH) A Columbus jury will return to court today to begin deciding whether the convicted killer of Reagan Tokes goes to death row.

Jurors in the Brian Golsby murder trial will begin hearing testimony today in the penalty phase, just three days after they convicted him of kidnapping, raping and killing the Anthony Wayne High School graduate last year.

Prosecutors successfully linked Golsby via DNA and GPS technology to the Ohio State University student's death, then revealed the defendant drove her car for days and gave her purse to a girlfriend.

The jury could sentence Golsby to death, life in prison without parole or life with parole in 25 or 30 years.
