(Maumee, OH) Maumee residents will talk over their future water options tonight.
Maumee's mayor and city council will lead a discussion tonight on the proposed Toledo Area Water Authority this evening. But they'll also talk about Plan B if a regional water deal falls apart at the polls this November, as Toledo voters decide their involvement.
The backup water plan involves the Northwestern Water and Sewer District, which could tie in Perrysburg, too-- in a possible deal with Bowling Green to expand its water treatment plant to serve southern suburbs.
Maumee's water deal with Toledo ends in 2026. The public forum starts at 7 p.m. at the Maumee municipal building.
