(Toledo, OH) Toledo's traffic camera program will be reviewed by the Ohio Supreme Court.
The high court agreed last week to hear arguments over a state law that limits the cameras' use. Toledo city officials say state lawmakers are trying to block an important safety program by making it too expensive.
Traffic camera critics say they're just money grabs for Toledo and other cities. The hearing will happen next month. Cities like Toledo already have won a couple of cases before the Ohio Supreme Court over the issue of home rule when state lawmakers put other restrictions on the use of red-light and speed cameras.
