(Maumee, OH) There's an open house tonight to talk over a new I-475 interchange in Maumee.
ODOT wants to explain the future interstate interchange that would be located at U.S. 20-A, also known as Illinois Avenue. That would link the highway with some industrial sites and provide a more direct route to Toledo Express airport for travelers.
ODOT wants to install the region's third diverging diamond interchange, the others located in Sylvania and Perrysburg. There's a second I-475 interchange in the planning stages at Dorr Street, too.
But construction of this proposed project is estimated to begin in 2022, if funding is secured. The open house runs 4 to 6 p.m. in Maumee city council chambers.
