(Maumee, OH) A new local produce market or a city park-- a meeting tonight on what to do in Uptown Maumee.
Residents are being encouraged to give their opinions at a public forum tonight on what to do with city-owned property along Conant Street.
The discussion centers on long-time plans to put a city park on the land, or allow a new Monette's Market to buy the property for more than 300-thousand dollars and build a new, locally-owned business.
A Maumee City Council member says past plans for public green space should be considered versus a proposed commercial development, because there are already plans drawn up and public support.
The public hearing starts at 7 p.m. in Maumee city council chambers.
