(Toledo, OH) Toledo's new mayor wants to consolidate some city boards and commissions.
Under a proposal before Toledo city council, Mayor Wade Kapsukiewicz is seeking to eliminate the Board of Community Relations and Affirmative Action and the Toledo Youth Commission.
In their place, Toledo's mayor wants to establish the Human Relations Commission, an advisory board aimed at better youth and community relations tasked with improving interracial and intercultural relanships in the city.
That could mean the elimination of the director's job with the board of community relations.
