Killer's Attorney Requests Judicial Release

(Toledo, OH)   One of the Toledo brothers locked up for serial killings in the 1980s could be getting out of prison.

Nathaniel Cook's attorney filed for judicial release Thursday after he completed his 20-year sentence.

Lucas County court officials say, however, Cook's release is not a slam-dunk.  He must undergo a psychological evaluation that will determine whether he's still a threat to society.

Cook also may be labeled a sex offender, which would force him to register his address with the county sheriff for the remainder of his life.

Courtroom hearings will determine Cook's fate and future, but there's no word if the murder victim's families will get any say in the process.
