(Canton, OH) A pair of developments in Northeast Ohio this week will have drastic consequences for a pair of Northern Ohio natural gas pipelines.
Federal regulators now say drilling by Rover pipeline crews can resume under a river where there had been concerns over the possibility of a spill. The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission told the builders of the natural gas pipeline work can continue on the $4 billion project that runs into Michigan.
The Rover pipeline route crosses Wood, Henry, Defiance, and Fulton counties.
Meantime, Green city council's approval Wednesday night of a court settlement involving the NEXUS pipeline clears the way for that project to proceed. The NEXUS natural gas pipeline will run through Sandusky, Wood, Lucas, and Fulton counties.
