(Perrysburg, OH) Perrysburg is getting a second fire station.
Perrysburg city council voted unanimously Tuesday night to proceed with the $10 million project, hoping to improve response times and have a second location to answer emergency runs, with the number of those increasing by about a third in the past several years.
The new fire station will be located along Fort Meigs Road next to the Perrysburg water tower.
The project is already designed and a construciton manager hired. Construction on the fire station could begin in April and is expected to be finished by this time next year.
