(Toledo, OH) There will be election opposition to the newly-appointed Lucas County treasurer.
WSPD has learned Republican Waterville Mayor Lori Brodie plans to challenge former Democratic Toledo city council member Lindsay Webb for Lucas County treasurer. Brodie plans to file petitions Wednesday morning to run in the November election, just before the filing deadline expires.
Webb's personal credit problems nearly made her unable to take the seat, because county commissioners had trouble finding bonding insurance. Brodie, on the other hand, has spent her career in corporate finance.
