TOLEDO, Ohio - The vacant seat on Toledo's city council has been filled.
WTOL 11 reports that Chris Delaney, a 30-year veteran of the Toledo Police Department, was sworn in Tuesday to fill the seat vacated by Lindsey Webb.
Delaney received the endorsement of the Lucas County Democratic Party's executive council Monday.
Delaney will fill out the remainder of Webb's term, which runs through the end of 2019. Webb vacated her seat earlier this month when she stepped down to become Lucas County treasurer.
