Fencing Going Up On Indiana Avenue Overpass

(Toledo, OH)   Work begins today to install safety fencing on the Indiana Avenue overpass in Toledo.

The safety fencing is being installed where construction crews removed the former fencing to rebuild the bridge over I-75. ODOT officials say the temporary fence at the construction site is designed to prevent things being thrown on to I-75.

Four teens are accused of throwing a sandbag onto a car from the overpass last month, killing a car's passenger, 22-year-old Marquis Byrd.

A 13-year-old boy pleaded guilty in court Friday that he tossed the sandbag-- and now will be sentenced on murder and felonious assault charges in juvenile court. He's the third teen to plead guilty in the case.
