(Pt. Clinton, OH) There's an opiate advisory issued in Ottawa County.
The county prosecutor, coroner, and Port Clinton police are warning the public about a dangerous batch of opioids on the streets.
The prosecutor's office says five people overdosed on an apparently very strong batch of the synthetic opioid over the past week and three of them died-- one man and two women. Two other overdose victims were revived using the heroin antidote narcan.
There were eight opioid-related deaths all of last year county-wide. Addicts, their families and friends are being urged to be aware of the potent drug.
