(Toledo, OH) The on-again, off-again saga of the Lucas County treasurer...is on again.
Democrat Lindsey Webb is expected to become Lucas County's treasurer for the second time today.
Lucas County commissioners say Webb was able to resolve a credit score problem and secure bonds needed to hold the office. Lucas County Democrats appointed the former Toledo city councilwoman to the treasurer post last week, but she stepped down a day later when the bonds fell through because of poor credit.
Party leaders were poised to appoint one of two other people who screened for the post once Webb hit difficulty.
Webb is expected to sign the bonding paperwork later today and assume office instead of re-enter private life.
