Lucas County Now At Level 2 Snow Emergency

TOLEDO, Ohio - Today's winter weather has prompted several counties to declare snow emergencies. 

Lucas, Erie, Huron, Ottawa and Sandusky Counties are now under a Level 2 snow emergency,

Defiance, Fulton, Hancock, Putnam, Seneca and Williams Counties are currently operating under a Level 1 snow emergency. According to the Ohio Committee for Severe Weather Awareness, that means that roadways are hazardous with blowing and drifting snow or icy. Motorists are urged to drive very cautiously.

At a Level 2, motorists should use extreme caution and only those who feel it necessary to drive should be out on the roads. Roads may be very icy or hazardous with blowing and drifting snow. You should contact your employer to see if you should report to work.
