Winter Weather Advisory Issued For Northwest Ohio

TOLEDO, Ohio - Northwest Ohio will be under a winter weather advisory, starting tomorrow morning. 

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for Lucas, Wood, Hancock, Ottawa, Sandusky, Seneca and Wyandot Counties that will begin at 6am Friday morning. 

While the larger snow totals that were earlier forecaster are no longer expected, one to three inches of accumulation are still expected. The NWS alert calls for rain changing to freezing rain, sleet and then snow Friday into Friday evening as colder air spreads across the area behind a cold front. 

Mixed precipitation is expected until 7pm Friday night. A glaze of ice is also expected. Freezing rain and sleet will change to snow and snow accumulations will average between one and three inches. Temperatures will also fall into the teens by Friday night.
