Bargain-Basement Booze at Local Liquor Outlets

(Toledo, OH) Your local liquor store may be offering some bargain-basement booze.

About 700 varieties, in fact, are on discount and all are being delisted by the Ohio Department of Liquor Control, meaning heavily marked-down prices and one last chance to buy some favorites. The discounts run between 25 to 40 percent off as part of the state's “Last Call” initiative, an effort to clear shelf space for new products and better-selling brands.

But the discounts are first-come, first-serve-- in other words, only while supplies last.

The brands run A to Z, from Appalachian Spit Fire and Alaska Outlaw, to Zwack and Zing Red Velvet.
