(Toledo, OH) A longtime, downtown Toledo-based nonprofit is moving.
Goodwill Industries has been in the same location at Cherry and Huron Streets for more than 90 years. But a local developer is buying that building-- and the nonprofit will move its offices to another downtown building the agency recently purchased near the the downtown library for just under $2 million.
Goodwill officials closed on the former Brooks Insurance building last week and intends to move 40 office workers by mid-January.
But the move means the end of the Goodwill thrift store downtown, which is not doing as well as other locations across the metro area. The downtown thrift store will close this Saturday.
