(Rossford, OH) Rossford City Council will revisit a zoning decision tonight.
Rossford's mayor is pushing city council to reconsider a decision made last month to leave nearly 300 acres of land zoned agricultural along Lime City Road.
A developer recently told city council the land is prime for development because of its proximity to I-75 and the Ohio Turnpike. But that would require a zoning change to industrial and commercial.
The land is already surrounded by similar zoning, but some residents want to see more housing instead. But the mayor says the goal should be creating jobs and raising more income tax revenue.
Rossford city council will take up the issue at a meeting that starts at 6 p.m.
