Ohio Overdose Deaths Rank Second In U.S.

(Columbus, OH)   Ohio is one of the nation's leaders in overdose deaths.  

The National Center for Health Statistics ranks the Buckeye State second in the country behind West Virginia.  The group's report indicates the problem is only getting worse, with a 41-percent spike in overdose deaths in Ohio through May of this year.  

Opioid drugs are blamed for the majority of the deaths.
