Maumee City Council Fills Vacancy with Candidate

(Maumee, OH) Maumee City Council has a new member.

30-year old Scott Noonan will serve the remainder of a Maumee city council term, vacated by a councilman who was elected last month to Maumee Municipal Court judge.

Noonan ran for one of four open city council seats, but fell just over 150 votes short in the November election. Noonan was one of five people seeking the appointment, winning a vote Monday night among his future council colleagues.

The organized labor liaison for the United Way serves on the boards of a number of community groups, including the Toledo Police Athletic League and Lucas County Board of Developmental Disabilities.
