Dog Lovers to Discuss Tethering Canines in Cold

(Holland, OH) A recent dog death is prompting a rescue group to educate its members.

The Lucas County Pit Crew is hosting a community discussion tonight for pet owners angry about others who leave their dogs tethered for long periods of time. Two people are charged in a recent case involving a dog who died on a chain in cold weather.

That case is sparking the meeting, which will include explanations of current laws from the humane society, Toledo police, and Lucas County Canine Care and Control.

The animal rights group plans to go over what pet owners can do to report violators during the meeting from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at 855 North McCord Road in Springfield Township.
