(Perrysburg Twp., OH) Owens Community College will convey 464 associate’s degrees at its fall graduation ceremony this evening.
90 of those students are graduating with honors.
A student born in a Palestinian refugee camp who married an American soldier a decade ago will be the featured class speaker. The business major who is now a Maumee insurance agent and mother of two who became a U.S. citizen in September is graduating magna cum laude and will continue her studies at Tiffin University.
The Owens commencement begins at 6:30 p.m. in the student activities center.
