"Roofing Crisis" in Toledo to Be Addressed

(Toledo, OH) A local partnership will target what it calls a “roofing crisis” in Toledo.

Maumee Valley Habitat for Humanity will celebrate completion of its 50th roof replacement since 2015 during a ceremony later today, partnering with Owens Corning to supply materials.

But that roof repair program will expand in 2018 by completing an additional 50 roof jobs for needy individuals and families.

The expansion became important once Toledo city officials announced earlier this year grant funding for ten roof replacements, but nearly 1,000 homeowners applied for that limited funding.
