(Toledo, OH) The football season will be one game longer for the Toledo Rockets.
Toledo has accepted an invitation to play in the Dollar General Bowl on December 23rd in Mobile, Alabama. They'll face Appalachian State, who beat the Rockets in last year's Camellia Bowl by a 31-to-28 score.
Meantime, a UT student has $100,000 to finish her education after winning a national contest.
Rachel Burns was the big winner this past weekend in the Dr. Pepper Challenge during the Big 12 championship game in Texas. Burns dropped the most footballs into a giant soda can to win the prize. The Holland native is a pharmacy student at UT.
