(Delta, OH) A Fulton County development is moving faster than expected.
MetalX in Delta could be operating by next summer, processing over 500,000 tons of scrap metal per year and employing 75 people in its first phase. The $35 million investment is being made possible by job creation tax credits and grants from state and local government.
Construction crews already were working at the 60-acre site along U-S 20-A before a recent groundbreaking.
There's a unique partnership with the nearby North Star BlueScope steel plant to process scrap steel produced at the factory. The Iowa company already is operating a smaller consumer and commercial scrap metal processing operation.
