DeWine, Husted Joining Forces In Governor's Race

(Columbus, OH)   Two top Republican candidates for Ohio governor are joining forces.

Attorney General Mike DeWine and Secretary of State Jon Husted will be in Dayton today to announce they'll run together for governor and lieutenant governor, respectively, next year.  DeWine is a Cedarville native and Husted is a University of Dayton graduate.

Political insiders believe the experienced ticket would be able to withstand two other GOP primary challengers easily without an expensive fight, because the pair's fundraising skills and statewide recognition will likely clear the GOP field.

Then Republicans could concentrate on whoever emerges from a large field of Democrats seeking the governors nomination next year.
