(Toledo, OH) The future of a neighborhood non-profit may be in doubt with a loss of federal funding.
Toledo City Council is being asked to shift nearly $250,000 from United North to another nonprofit to conduct a pair of programs that received community development block grant money.
According to the legislation under consideration, the North Toledo neighborhood organization no longer has the capacity to operate its financial opportunity center and an owner-occupied housing rehab program.
Instead, those funds would be shifted to NeighborWorks Toledo to operate those existing programs.
