(Columbus, OH) More than two dozen applications for medical marijuana dispensaries are filed from Northwest Ohio.
The state pharmacy board received 370 applications in all-- and will issue up to 60 licenses for medical marijuana dispensaries. 18 applications were filed in Lucas County alone-- a dozen of those wanting to open up retail outlets in Toledo for products ranging from oils to patches, edibles to plant matter.
Three applications came from Wood County, three from Sandusky County, and one from Defiance County.
Communities like Rossford are embracing medical marijuana as a way to grow its economy, as well as pot. Some of the applications simply list local attorneys as their agents, including Mark Jacobs and developer Sylvester Gould.
