TPD Cop Recovering After Getting Shot in Face

(Toledo, OH)   A Toledo man will face a judge this morning, accused of shooting a police officer during a drug raid on his home.  Jamaine Hill is charged with felonious assault on a police officer.

Toledo Police Chief George Kral says Hill shot Detective Jason Picking early Thursday when he opened fire from inside his Caroline Avenue home.

Picking, who was standing 30 yards away, was shot in the face.  He remains hospitalized in critical but stable condition with a shattered jaw. The detective will need facial reconstructive surgery.
