(Bowling Green, OH) The Battle of I-75 takes center stage today.
The annual University of Toledo matchup with rival Bowling Green State University means a lot more to the Rockets season than the faltering Falcons.
The Rockets are 8-2 and likely bowl-bound, regardless of where the football team finishes in the Mid-American Conference.
While the Falcons got their feathers ruffled with a 2-and-8 record and are now playing for pride, BGSU doesn’t want to lose the rivalry game for the eighth straight time, which would tie the series at 39 wins apiece.
The Rockets could end up in the MAC championship if U-T wins this one and its final home game.
Kickoff is 8 p.m. at Doyt Perry stadium in B-G and will be broadcast on ESPNU.
