(Toledo, OH) An effort to keep the Washington Local Schools' newest board member off district property is gaining momentum.
More than 1,500 people have signed an online petition urging the board to block Patrick Hickey from all properties except the administration building.
The petition cites allegations of inappropriate and intimidating behavior while Hickey was the Washington schools' superintendent.
Hickey was elected to the school board last week, two years after his resignation and one year after a tirade against officials at a Whitmer High School basketball game led to a full ban from district property.
