(Toledo, OH) About 2,000 kids get to work out today with a global fitness leader.
More than 700 students in Bowling Green city schools will get a morning workout at the BGSU Field House with Joe De Sena, the creator of endurance races and long-distance athlete. Some college student-athletes also will participate with middle school students in that workout.
More than 800 Toledo public and Sylvania schools students will join De Sena for a second session in the afternoon at the Huntington Center downtown following a healthy lunch.
A community workout and wellness expo takes place for adults from 4 to 6:30 p.m., also at the Huntington Center. The events are being held in conjunction with the day-long EPIC Toledo Leadership Simmit at the Renaissance Toledo Hotel downtown.
