(Toledo, OH) The first approvals for development in the Marina District could happen today.
The Columbus developer whose back on board building plans to go vertical in the Marina District goes before the Toledo Plan Commission today.
Continental Development is proposing a 12-acre site, which includes a 360-unit apartment complex to be called Gateway Lofts and a restaurant. The development would be built along Main Street at Riverside Drive, which runs right through the now-vacant Marina District, derisively what critics have called the "Road to Nowhere."
The development would stretch to just behind existing Front Street businesses and would also sit next to a future Metropark, once Promedica sells the land it currently owns there.
