(Toledo, OH) Students can learn more about Ohio’s counties through an interactive game.
iCivics has a new online game called Counties Work, which teaches students the functions and importance of local government. The game allows students to assume the role of a county official who must respond to citizen requests—alongside balancing attempts to keep voters happy while managing limited county resources responsibly.
The online civics education initiative also provides free curriculum materials for teachers.
iCivics was championed from its start by late astronaut and U.S. Senator John Glenn and retired Supreme Court justice Sandra Day O’Connor.
